Jennifer Lee
I have been addicted to knitting for over 35 years (I started very young!) and I love being able to take a ball of yarn and a pair of needles and make something gorgeous and individual yet practical.
As a child I designed and knitted clothes for my toy elephants (elephants are my other obsession), during high school I knitted baby clothes and sold them at local craft markets then during my university days I knitted for a local yarn shop. While knitting was my passion, at that stage I never thought of making it my career.
After spending 10 years in the medical profession I came across a job ad for a knitting pattern design writer and suddenly I realised it was possible to combine my passion with my work. I was lucky enough to get that job and I have been working as a pattern writer, pattern designer and proofreader ever since.
As well as creating my own designs, I continue to work for yarn companies in Australia and overseas.
Along with my love of knitting, I hold Diplomas in both Comprehensive Writing and Professional Book Editing, Proofreading and Publishing.
I love what I do and I hope you will enjoy knitting my patterns as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
