Abigail elephant. Soft toy sewing pattern

A lovely floppy elephant - brilliant to hug : )

Abigail is a seated lass, jointed head and sewn-in limbs. All her features are embroidered and, with safety joint at neck she is child-friendly.

7 page pattern instructions include photos and illustrations from cutting out to finishing touches.

Can be made in a variety of fabrics for alternative looks. Try short plush, cord, denim, medium weight cottons, suede (a versatile lass )

Materials you need at home:

  • Fat 1/8th metre fabric
  • Contrasting fabric (inner ears and footpads)
  • Black embroidery thread
  • 1 x 30mm Safety or cotter pin joint
  • Small pieces of black and white felts (2cm +)
  • Suitable toy filling (can be weighted)
  • Sewing cotton
  • Coloured pencil
  • Ribbon
