‘Aibu’ means ‘caress’ in japanese, a caress such as this hand dyed yarn by Eline et Laine, which is so light and so sweet. A lace pattern such as a caress on your feet during warm days. And as the Cherry tree flowers, this pair of sock gives you peace and joy every time you wear it!

Material: Any 4 ply yarn or fingering / sock yarn : 2 colours of your choice: 1 skein for contrast colour 25 gr matching for toe, heel and cuff, and 1 skein of main colour 50 gr (50 gr is enough to knit this pair of socks but you will need more if you knit size M and L) for sock. I suggest the kit created by Eline et Laines: 1 skein 50 gr Fingering yarn Tabi # Jaipur by Eline et Laines for main colour and 1 skein 25 gr # Sakura by Eline et Laines for contrast colour Circular needles 2.5 mm small circumference and/or DPN 2.5 mm ( 20 cm) Cable needle 2.5 mm 2 stitches markers: M1, M2 in the pattern tapestry needle scissors Gauge: 10 cm x 10 cm = 30 sts x 44 rows Level: Medium Note: This pattern is for socks knitted with toe-up method, Judy’s magic cast on method (Turkish cast on is great too for this pattern) for toe, German short row technique for the heel. The socks begins with contrast colour and toe, then you knit a lace pattern with a cable part in the middle of the front of the foot, the heel is knitted with contrast colour, then you need to knit the ankle as indicated in the lace design (front and back of the sock in the ankle is different, so refer yourself to the charts), and finish with ribbed cuff with contrast colour resuming the cable part .
