This sweet little alpaca with a colourful saddle blanket is fun to knit and will make a great toy. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the alpaca is knitted in acrylic 4 ply yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the reins are single crochet chains. The body uses two yarns held double (grey and white) to create the variegated look for the fleece, and the saddle blanket incorporates a slip stitch pattern. For confident beginners and above, techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
