- 43yd/39m yarn for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in St.St.
- Pair 3mm/UK11/US2½ straight needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Knit sideways, this warm and drapey beret features a cable and eyelet brim, and striking eyelet detail on the body. As it's knit from side to side, you can check your sizing and adjust as necessary quite easily!
Skills required: Knit & purl sts, short rows (w&t), provisional cast-on, Kitchener stitch, basic lace (eyelets)
Gauge: 29 sts x 40 rows to 4in/10cm on 3mm needles over St.St. 22 st cable+lace brim panel = 1.75in/4.5cm on 3mm needles
Fit is determined by row gauge – if your gauge differs, simply work more or fewer panels to achieve the desired size.
