Barn owls applique quilt - pdf pattern and tutorial
Did you ever see a Barn owl fly ? You won't hear anything. Absolutely NOTHING. For me, this beautiful bird is one of the best representation of absolute Silence. Isn't silence beautiful ? I got lucky enought to see several times these amazing creatures, at night, even sleeping at day, and they still inspire me a lot of respect. They have an incredible face, and a beautiful coloring, that lights night up. In this quilt, i tried to pick they out of my memories and imagination, with their mysterious way to look at, and to illuminate a summer full moon night where some flowers and berries exhale their perfume.
This applique quilt is 120x150 cm big (47x59 inches), and actually quite simple to realise. BUT please note that i didn't explain how to realise any kind of applique, so you should already be familiar with this technique (hand applique, machine applique...) or must plan a little extra time to look at some videos tutorial about it !
