Mila Blouse PDF patterns. Patterns for 4 variations.
✂ SEWING PATTERN ✂
UK 6-18 / AU 6-18 / US 2-14
From the basic sleeveless version to the draped neck and full gathered sleeves, the Mila blouse pattern offers you 4 distinct options to fill your wardrobe with the capsule staples you will love. The main feature of the blouse is a bias front, which gives it fluidity and drapes beautifully on the body and eliminates the need for the bust darts. The body is slightly loose cut and almost reaches the hipline, so it can be tucked into trousers and skirts. A and B versions of the Mila blouse pattern feature a cowl neckline that wraps the neck softly due to the bias cut of the front. Play with decorative options for the buttons on the back; since there are 6 of them on these versions! C and D versions of the Mila blouse feature a boat neckline. They might look simple; however, with the right choice of drapey fabric, the bias construction makes all the difference, giving figure-skimming and gentle hang to the front and neckline.
Fluid and drapey fabrics that stretch well on the bias. If using a fabric that stretches on the cross-grain such as fine knits and fabrics with elastane, cut the front bodice on the straight grain. Both grainlines are included in the pattern. And the cutting plan covers both ways.
Intermediate. You need to be able to cut fabric on the bias, make rouleaux loops and finish bias bound edges.

Measurements and Seam allowances:
I use the Metric system since I find it precise and easy to work with. My patterns also have 1 cm included for the seam allowances, unless indicated otherwise on the particular seam.
Fabric usage and cutting layout are given for 140 cm wide fabric.
I include as many details as possible, using either photos or diagrams depending on which is clear. And I am always happy to explain more if you send me a message.

Hi, I am Nafisa. I am a Technical Designer and a Garment Engineer by day. I have 10+ years of experience working alongside high-end fashion designers creating their collections and red carpet ensembles. Many people who have work experience like me, end up having their own luxury fashion label at some point. But this was never a goal for me. I dreamed of helping other people to achieve their creative potential, rather than buying ready-made clothes I would make. And I decided to bring the aesthetic level, fit quality and finesse of the industry to the hobby sewists.
I love seeing your take on my pattern designs; whether it is a fabric choice or a hack. So please tag me and use hashtags in the instructions sheet when you share your makes on social media. I try to make very clear step by step instructions for each pattern using either diagrams or photos, depending on what would be easier to understand. Additionally, I make video tutorials for some of the patterns which you can find on my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIXUHAZ5dEHtknaaF8IulnA Let's get to know each other better @capsule.patterns
