- A great project for the beginner cable knitter
- Simple to follow written knitting pattern
- Written in cm and inches
Materials you need at home:
- 1 pair 9mm/US13/UK0 needles
- Cable needle
- Yarn: Approx. 14 oz. /375g super bulky weight yarn/#6/super chunky
I designed this 16" x 16"/40cm x 40cm cushion cover using a super bulky /#6 yarn and 9mm/US13 needles (or size required to obtain gauge). The pillow cover is worked flat and seamed.
The envelope closure is secured with three buttons allowing for easy removal to change your decor or for hand washing. Both front and back are visually appealing. Just turn over for a different look.
If you are familiar with using a cable needle you should have no trouble with this pattern.
Easily outnumbered by boys in my house (husband and two sons, even a male dog!), I am queen of my little realm, so Ladyship Designs seemed a very fitting name for my store.
Ever since my Mum taught me to knit and sew I have loved the creative process and experimenting with design.
I find pillow covers to be the perfect way to combine my love of design and the textures that can be created with a single strand of yarn. I especially love experimenting with cable patterns.
