This pattern is a simple braided cable, knit flat and sandwiched between two ribbed sections. I chose to use buttons to hold the two ends together for a nice fit around my head, but you could also easily use a provisional cast-on and seam the two edges if you’d rather. This makes for a super quick project that you’ll be sure to wear again and again this season.

Materials you need at home:

  • 1 skein bulky weight yarn (suggested yarns: Spud & Chloe Outer, Loops & Threads Charisma)
  • size US 13 (9 mm) needles
  • cable needle
  • 2 coordinating medium-sized buttons
  • tapestry needle
