Bucket Hat PDF sewing pattern - Brooks

Brooks Bucket hat PDF patterns.
✂ SEWING PATTERN ✂
10 sizes. Junior to XXL men.
Style description:
The bucket hats are back in fashion on the catwalks of luxury design houses such as Prada and Dolce Gabbana. The Brooks bucket hat is designed for any season and any fabric. The brim and crown are neither too large, nor too small! Great stash buster and a quick, satisfying sewing project; you will find out everybody needs a bucket hat. So I got you covered by grading this pattern into 10 sizes, from junior to XXL men’s.
Fabric recommendation:
Anything that holds shape. Use fusible interfacing (more layers if needed) to stabilise the fabric and to give it a structure. Don’t worry if the brim looks a bit floppy even after applying the fusings. The seam allowance and the topstitches also build the structure. I recommend tweed, boucle, boiled wool, leather, pleather and fur for winter bucket hats; cotton, linen and satin for summer.
Skill level:
Beginner. You must be familiar with operating the machine, using simple patterns, cutting out the fabric and applying the fusible interfacing.
Measurements and Seam allowances:
I use the Metric system since I find it precise and easy to work with. My patterns also have 1 cm included for the seam allowances, unless indicated otherwise on the particular seam.
Materials and tools needed:
I encourage you to use the scraps for this project (If you are using smaller scraps of interfacing, make sure to overlap them 0.5 cm)
Main fabric (50cm x 70cm) Fusible interfacing (45cm x 70 cm) Lining (40 cm x 70 cm) Regular sewing machine and sewing supplies Iron to apply fusible interfacing and general pressing
Instruction format:
I include as many details as possible, using either photos or diagrams depending on which is clear for the given operation. And I am always happy to explain more if you send me a message.
*This is a digital product, and you will download 2 files after purchasing: - Instruction file (Fabric recommendation, size and garment measurements chart, pattern and cutting layout, step-by-step sewing instructions) ( 6 pages) - Patterns for home A4 and US Letter printing (7 pages)

Hi, I am Nafisa. I am a Technical Designer and a Garment Engineer by day. I have 10+ years of experience working alongside high-end fashion designers creating their collections and red carpet ensembles. Many people who have work experience like me, end up having their own luxury fashion label at some point. But this was never a goal for me. I dreamed of helping other people to achieve their creative potential, rather than buying ready-made clothes I would make. And I decided to bring the aesthetic level, fit quality and finesse of the industry to the hobby sewists.
I love seeing your take on my pattern designs; whether it is a fabric choice or a hack. So please tag me and use hashtags in the instructions sheet when you share your makes on social media. I try to make very clear step by step instructions for each pattern using either diagrams or photos, depending on what would be easier to understand. Additionally, I make video tutorials for some of the patterns which you can find on my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIXUHAZ5dEHtknaaF8IulnA Let's get to know each other better @capsule.patterns
