Cabled Cap - knitting pattern

This cap is a quick knit and ideal for beginning knitters who wish to complete a stylish Hat whilst learning about cables and different increase and decrease methods at the same time.

This tam is knit top-down and in the round, and is provided in 5 sizes.

Materials you need at home:

  • 147 (157, 164, 185, 196) yd/134 (144, 151, 170, 180) m Aran weight, single ply yarn (Sample shown in Crystal Palace Fjord Solid (91yd/83m per 50g; 100% Wool))
  • 26yd/24m yarn for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in St.St.

  • Set 4.5mm/UK7/US7 DPNs/Circular or size needed to obtain gauge

  • Stitch marker as necessary

  • Cable needle

  • Tapestry needle
