Simply folding back the split brim turns this almost-beanie into a jaunty cloche. Stitches are picked up from the sideways-knit garter band (tutorial included) and worked in a simple textured stitch to the crown, showing off a beautiful yarn as much as two special buttons.

Skills required: Knit & purl sts, knitting in the round, picking up sts, increases & decreases, specialist cast-on, slipped sts
