The shawl consists of three sections: Garter stitch, lace and short rows in all sections. All RS rows will begin and end with two increases (kfb), and all RS short rows begin with two increases (kfb), thus creating a semicircular shape. The shawl is finished with a picot bind off.

Size Approx. 73½; 187 cm in wingspan and 17¾ inches; 45 cm in depth, after block.

              Contains:

              • written explanation
              • chart and written explanation for lace

              Materials you need at home:

Wool Approximately 830 yards; 760 meters of DK wool. The sample was knitted with Physalis by Graine de laine – 100% merino – 275 yards; 251 meters. Color 1 (CC1): Pain d’épice, one skein. Color 2 (CC2): Thé à l’orange, one skein. Color 3 (CC3): Quand le chat n’est pas là, one skein.

              ● Needles US 6; 4.00 mm circular needle (47 inches; 120 long) or other size to obtain gauge.

              ● Other 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving end.

              ● Gauge 22 sts and 21 Rows for 4 inches; 10 cm in garter st after a light block. The gauge isn’t crucial to this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
