Christmas in a soft and cuddly cushion cover. Superchunky/superbulky yarn makes for an up-to-date, superquick and fun knit.
This is an intermediate knit, as you will need basic knitting skills and know how to use the Intarsia knitting technique, (knitting in blocks of colour).
This is an envelope cushion cover with buttons and buttonholes to enable easy insertion of the cushion. There is the option of no buttons or buttonholes for a simpler closure on the reverse of the cushion, if you prefer. Instructions are written, with a chart to follow for the side with the tree on. You will need to work the Intarsia technique to avoid looping unused yarn across the back of the tree. All instructions are in English, with British/American terms.
Keep it traditional, or spice it up with funky colours, (purple tree anyone?), or match the colours to your room. Be creative and have fun!
The Lonely Sea - Heather Corcoran
I have a bag that say ' I knit therefore I am' - sums me up perfectly! I love to knit and love to design! I have knitted for years, and made and sold literally hundreds of owl gloves and fingerless mitts on-line. About 8 years ago, I decided to give designing and writing patterns a go, and I absolutely love it! The whole process is absolutely captivating, and I love to see other knitters' projects made from my patterns. My beautiful cavvy, Honey, is my constant companion, and she sleeps next to me on the settee while I knit. You can also find me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thelonelyseapatterns/
