Description
Botanically cucumbers are a fruit, but they are usually considered a vegetable in cooking. This cucumber is knitted in one piece using knits and purls to make the ribbed fabric. I have been working on a box of different vegetables, and if you are new to making knitted toys these make an easy introduction to the craft as they don’t have lots of pieces to sew together. My knitted veggies are worked flat on straight knitting needles, but most pieces could easily be converted to knitting in the round if that is your preference.
