A small classic model knitted in Top Down with straight or circular needles for a seamless version. A vest with a straight and comfortable cut. The fantasy is brought by its selvedges and yoke in garter stitch which contrasts with the stocking stitch. It closes with a single button at the neckline.
This vest is uni-sex and can be declined according to your needs.
This little cardigan is a Top Down, it is knitting start from the neckline. For more comfort he is knit in one piece and seamless with circular needles. He can be made entirely with straight needles (for more comfort, use double pointed needles for the 1st rows of the sleeves ... there will only be the seam of the sleeves to plan.) The 2 techniques are explained in the PDF.
To knit it you have to master the yarn over (= add a stitch by placing the yarn on the needle) and put on hold the stitches. The photos of the model in progress help you to visualize the steps ( 12 pictures).
The model is made in Quality Rose & Lou of Plassard with needles 3 mm métrique in garter stitch and stocking stitch.
The tension/gauge : 26 stitches and 48 rows in garter stitch = 10 cm (= 4" x 4 ") and 26 stitches and 36 rows in stocking stitch = 10 cm (= 4" x 4 "). You can knit this model in other qualities with the gauge same.
Other yarn can be use : Quality Pingorex Baby of Pingouin, Quality Peques of Katia ... Quality Rose & Lou of Plassard, Quality Orient of Cheval blanc, Quality Calinou or Merino of Bergère de France.

The model is available in 6 sizes : new born, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.

- Circular needles or knitting needles a pair of 3 mm métrique (UK : 11, US : 2 1⁄2 and Japan : 5/0)
- 3 or 5 double pointed needles or circular needles of 3 mm (for the sleeves)
- 2 stitch holders (or use a colored yarn)
- 1 hook 3 mm (UK : 11 , US : C/2 or D/3 and Japan : 5/0) for making the buttonhole
