Eleanora was a baby elephant character in a book my mother delighted in reading to my children when they were small. A couple of years ago, I managed to find a copy of the book in a second hand bookstore and this story came to mind when I was thinking of making an elephant cosy, so Eleanora it became.
The standard 4-6 cup cosy is fun and quick to knit. The one size, 5 page pattern is worked here in the bright, ethnic inspired colours of Patons Fab Double Knitting, it can also be made from other double knitting oddments if tension is checked over 4mm needles.

I wouldn't say I forget everything else when I'm designing... but I do drink a lot of cold coffee! I'm an obsessive knitter who began writing patterns whenever one I bought proved disappointing or when I couldn't find quite what I wanted My patterns are designed to be as easy as possible to make and as straightforward as possible to make up. They're designed to be fun!
