ERIK THE VIKING TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
Erik the Viking is not a particularly fearsome warrior, but he has a shield and helmet just in case trouble starts!
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the viking, photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 4 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat on straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, change colours at the ends of a row (knit stripes) and sew seams.
FINISHED SIZE: Erik is approximately 14.5cm tall (including the helmet).
Materials you need at home:
- A pair of straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
- DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 50g in each colour
- Toy filling
