- A cable needle (approx. 6.5mm or larger).
- A large/tapestry needle to sew up, and a thinner needle for the cotton thread, if using.

3 twisty cables wind their way around this cozy cushion. Superchunky/superbulky yarn makes for an up-to-date and superquick knit.
Measurements: to fit cushion - 41 x 41cm/ 16 x 16in, Or 42 x 42cm/16.5 x 16.5in (although slightly smaller and larger cushions may be suitable if the cushion pad isn't too bulky). Actual size of cover - 38x38cm/15x15in approx.
The pattern is easy/intermediate, as you will need to know how to cast/bind on and off, knit, purl, and simple cabling. (Even if it’s your first time cabling, you will be able to, it’s that easy!) This is an envelope cushion cover with buttons and buttonholes to enable easy insertion of the cushion. There is the option of no buttons or buttonholes for a simpler closure on the reverse of the cushion, if you prefer. It is knitted flat and sewn up the sides. Instructions are written line by line in English, with British/American terms.
Quick and fun to knit and a great introduction to cable knitting!
The Lonely Sea - Heather Corcoran
I have a bag that say ' I knit therefore I am' - sums me up perfectly! I love to knit and love to design! I have knitted for years, and made and sold literally hundreds of owl gloves and fingerless mitts on-line. About 8 years ago, I decided to give designing and writing patterns a go, and I absolutely love it! The whole process is absolutely captivating, and I love to see other knitters' projects made from my patterns. My beautiful cavvy, Honey, is my constant companion, and she sleeps next to me on the settee while I knit. You can also find me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thelonelyseapatterns/
