Streamlined, almost geometrical shapes alternating with interesting colorwork give this shawl its casual look, making it perfect for pairing with a denim outfit.

This wonderful shawl can be worked in many fiber qualities. The pictured sample is knit in cotton, but it looks equally nice in sock yarn or other warmer qualities. The chosen yarn should not be thicker than 8ply (DK).

The shawl starts with a cast-on of 3 stitches at the bottom tip and is worked bottom-up to the neck edge. The shape is achieved by regularly increases. The final border is worked sideways by using short rows. This is explained in detail throughout the pattern.

                Contains:

                • 9 pages pattern
                • written pattern
                • charts
                • schematic

The pattern was originally written in german and the translation in english was proof-read by a native speaker.

Skill level easy to intermediate (for ambitious beginner).

Finished size after blocking approx. 160 x 80 cm

                Materials you need at home:

                Needed materials:

                • Yarn approx. 600 meters 656 yds in fingering weight (I used 50 grams Drops Safran and 150 grams Rowan Siena 4ply)
                • Circular knitting needle size matching the yarn used (I recommend an interchangeable system)
                • At least one stitch marker (from Row 70 onwards, slip marker in every row)
                • Sewing needle
                • Kitchen scales to weigh the yarn before the final section

                Woolness Designs

Hi, my name is Michaela, and I live in Germany in Lower Saxony with my husband and my dog Flocke.

I knit and crochet almost my whole live. I was 6 years old when my mom taught me the first stitches and I feel like I have never put the needles aside.

I love to create new looks, I love to see how a knitted or crocheted piece grows with the teamwork of the yarn and my fingers. I want to share my creativity with other knit or chrochet addicted and that is why I create patterns.

All my designs are easy to intermediate to knit or crochet, all patterns are written clearly and easily understandable. They all are tried and tested and the translations are proof-read by a native speaker.
