This sewing project is perfect for moms to be and new moms.
This is a sewing tutorial for a large bag with exterior and interior pockets. The bag has adjustable straps and can be worn as a cross-body bag or on one side. The bag is designed to fit on a baby stroller. The lining includes four interior pockets, one of them with zipper. There is enough space for wipes, diapers, toys and baby bottles. The interior pocket with zipper can be used to store valuables such as keys, phones and small wallets.
This tutorial can be used by advanced sewers. Multiple pockets and the difference between the front and back interior make the pattern pretty substatial. I recommend printing the A1 (ARCH D, which is 24in x 36in) pattern at a copy shop. The pattern is also included in A4 (US Letter) format but includes 24 pages. These 24 pages only show one half of the pattern. You will need to mirror each piece to get the full pattern.
Thicker fabrics like canvas are suitable materials for the exterior of this bag. A lighter fabric can be used for the lining. The sewing tutorial includes detailed fabric recommendations.
