Pink Graffiti is a color block slouchy hat, knit mainly in the one-color brioche stitch. It is knit in the round from the bottom up. I named this hat for my first Etsy shoppe, where I used to sell one of a kind jewelry and clothing from recycled fabric! Of course, I knit this hat with pink yarn, but feel free to use any color you like!

This hat would make a GREAT project if you want to try out the brioche stitch! There are no brioche increases or decreases, and it’s a wonderful transition to two-color brioche!

Size: One size, finished measurements are about 20” circumference by 10” height. With the ribbing folded up, it makes a deliciously warm hat! Perfect for these Michigan winters!

Gauge: 20 sts x 26 rows = 4” in brioche stitch

Needles: US 5/3.75mm circular needle or DPN’s. I used the Magic loop method for knitting in the round.

Yarn: I used about 200 yds of a sport weight wool (it ended up being about 1 1/3 skeins of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport), 50 yds of sport weight alpaca (about 1/3 skein of Frog Tree 100% Alpaca Sport) and then about 30 yds of a bulky handspun yarn I had in my stash for the PomPom (optional).

Other tools needed: tapestry needle, stitch marker

Contains:

*Illustrated Knitting Pattern *US Imperial and Metric Measurement *One Size *Suitable for Beginners

Materials you need at home:

*Yarn: 200 yds sport weight 50 yds sport weight 30 yds bulky handspun for PomPom *Needles: US 5/3.75mm circular needle or DPN’s. I used the Magic loop method for knitting in the round. *tapestry needle *stitch marker
