Pleated Beret - knitting pattern

The technical challenge with this beret lies with the knitted pleat formation near the crown, which help give this Hat its fullness and drape, making it a refreshing alternative to a regular beret.

Skills required
: Knit & purl sts, knitting in the round, increases & decreases, specialist cast-on, cables

 22 sts x 28 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.75mm needles over St.St. 
 21 sts x 27 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.75mm needles over Moss (Seed) Stitch

Best worked in a yarn with good drape at a slightly loose gauge.
