A pretty, sparkly blanket, with a textured pattern that mimics ripples, fading in and out. Suitable for a beautiful baby blanket, 61cm/24in x 76cm/30in, or make it larger for a throw for the end of the bed or in your sitting room. (Instructions are included on how to make it wider or longer.)
The pattern is easy, as all you need to know is how to cast/bind on and off, knit, purl – the textured pattern is formed from knit and purl stitches.
Yarn recommendations are given, but any double knit/light worsted yarn should be fine - I advise checking your tension/gauge, although minor variations shouldn't be too serious - you'll just end up with a slightly larger or smaller blanket! The needle length given is for the baby blanket, but if you make it wider or longer, you may need longer/circular needles.

The Lonely Sea - Heather Corcoran
I have a bag that say ' I knit therefore I am' - sums me up perfectly! I love to knit and love to design! I have knitted for years, and made and sold literally hundreds of owl gloves and fingerless mitts on-line. About 8 years ago, I decided to give designing and writing patterns a go, and I absolutely love it! The whole process is absolutely captivating, and I love to see other knitters' projects made from my patterns. My beautiful cavvy, Honey, is my constant companion, and she sleeps next to me on the settee while I knit. You can also find me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thelonelyseapatterns/
