Using a basic pattern and the addition of colour-work and embroidery, you can create a set of eight colourful Christmas character finger puppets from Santa’s Grotto. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the puppets are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the arms are i-cord worked on two DPNs. The pattern includes an Elf, Tree Fairy, Father Christmas, Mary Christmas, Fairy, Soldier, Snowman and Rudolph. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes and seaming to finish.
Contains:
- Instructions for making the eight finger puppets.
- The pattern is 10 pages and written in English.
- Measurements are in metric.
Materials you need at home:
- A pair of straight 3.25 mm (US 3) single-pointed knitting needles
- DK weight yarns
- Toy filling
- Beads for eyes
