A Knitting Pattern for a unique hand-knit cushion featuring a countryside scene with sheep in the field and poppies growing in the hay meadow.

This Aran/Worsted pillow will add texture and interest to your home and would make a perfect and gift for someone special.

The cushion is knitted in one piece so there is minimal sewing up. The scene on the front is worked using stocking stitch using the fair isle / stranded method of knitting. There are large, coloured charts to follow and the pattern has detailed instructions. On the back there is a four button opening for easy removal of the cover for washing.

          Contains:

          • Illustrated Knitting Pattern with large charts to follow for the picture
          • US Imperial Measurement / Metric Measurement
          • 40 cm x 40 cm (16in x 16in)
          • Suitable for Intermediate Knitters

          Materials you need at home:

          • Aran/Worsted yarn (10 ply) is required and suggestions for yarn plus links to suppliers are included
          • Knitting Needles – 1 pair of 5 mm (UK6 – US8) and 1 pair of 4 mm (UK8 – US6)
          • 4 buttons
          • 40 cm x 40 cm (16in x 16in)

I first started to design clothes for my children when they were younger and went on to sell garments through shops and craft fairs. I also taught the use of machine knitting and knitwear design. I later followed a career in IT, but I now have grandchildren and whilst hand knitting for them was inspired to start designing and creating knitting patterns again.
