The ebook includes the pattern SAYANG for kids by Nähfrosch, detailed sewing instructions with many photos, different versions, as well as practical tips for sewing.
Have a look at the version for women!
This pattern is so inconspicuously simple, is sewn in no time and surprises with an incredibly great look! You can' t have enough of the shirt SAYANG - that's for sure.
Sewing won't be boring either as there are plenty of variations - in terms of neckline, we have a sporty round neckline with cuff and a stylish V-neck. And when it comes to sleeves, you won't get bored either - the choice here is between simple short sleeves - with or without cuffs -, long sleeves and sleeves with a fake-layer look. You can bet there's more than one new shirt combination to choose from!
This name fits perfectly! SAYANG is Indonesian and translates into "sweetheart". Wait and see, as soon as you have sewn the first shirt, you will understand :-)
The SAYANG shirt is definitely a project that every beginner can tackle. The first results to show off will come in no time at all. With our detailed instructions we will guide you step by step to your new favourite piece! And for the more experienced sewers among you: SAYANG is the perfect pattern for "quickly conjuring up a new outfit". Have fun!
Stretchy fabrics such as jersey, knit fabrics and French Terry are best suited for the shirt SAYANG. In the case of sweatshirt fabrics pay attention to their elasticity properties. With the wrong fabric the sleeves could eventually become too tight. Thin jerseys and viscose jerseys are recommended especially for the summer months.
Woven fabric is not recommended at all for such a tight shirt as the shirt has no closure. Therefore, choose a stretchy fabric in any case.
For the SAYANG shirt you need different amounts of fabric - depending on whether you want to sew the short-sleeved or long-sleeved version. Here are some basic measurements for orientation (based on a fabric width of 150 cm plus seam allowances and buffers):
Short sleeves with sleeve and neck cuff Sizes 92 - 110 = 55 cm Sizes 116 - 134 = 65 cm Sizes 140 - 164 = 75 cm
Long sleeves Sizes 92 - 110 = 95 cm Sizes 116 - 134 = 115 cm Sizes 140 - 164 = 135 cm
If you want to sew the version with a V-neck, you will need a bit of fusible web to reinforce the tip. Alternatively, you can also use so-called Wonder Dots.
