Spencer soft toy sloth digital sewing pattern

Spencer is a loveable, laid-back sloth 14 inches (34cm) tall when completed. He has floppy, thread jointed limbs and can hang around the house quite happily (he moves very slowly : ) Pattern includes a child-friendly option and short hand shading tutorial. Easy to follow instructions with lots of reference photos and tips will help you to create your own adorable sloth. Find the longest, shaggiest fur you can and get sloth-making !

Materials you need at home:

  • Fat 1/8th metre shaggy sloth-like faux fur
  • Fabric for face/toes face
  • 8mm glass or plastic safety eyes
  • 1 x 30mm cotter pin or plastic safety joint
  • Strong thread suitable for jointing
  • Optional: Chenille stems (unsuitable for children's sloth)
  • Non-allergenic toy stuffing
  • Optional: pencils or pens for shading features
  • Scissors, sewing thread, needle and pins
