The "TEEKAY UNISEX BACKPACK" as the name implies, is a bag worn on the back with two straps that go over the shoulders and can be used by anyone regardless of gender and age. It features a fully lined interior as well as a main zipper that closes it at the top down to the sides. This functional bag can store a lot of items and has a laptop compartment for up to 16" wide computers.   • Imperial and metric measurements are used throughout the pattern (cm and inches)
  • The backpack comes in two sizes (large and small)
  • Step by step detailed instructions on how to make the pouch with over 250 clear photos and 2 explanatory YouTube video tutorials
  • Pattern pieces are provided at the end of the instructions
  • Links to where you can find our support group and page in case you need help, support or want to show off your makes
  • Instructions on how to make padded straps

Materials you need at home:

  • Your chosen fabrics (such as, but not limited to 100% cotton , leather , faux leather , home decor fabric, cork , denim or jacquard)
  • Your chosen medium weight interfacing (based on the thickness of the fabrics chosen)
  • Your chosen foam and fleece interfacing
  • Thread to match all fabrics
  • A pressing iron or steam press
  • 3 multi-purpose zippers:1 zipper for the main closure, another for the front zipper pocket as well as one for the inner zipper pocket

I purchased the Teekay Unisex Backpack and just finished it! I made the small, it comes with large and small sizes. First read and reread the directions. I think I used my seam ripper more on this pattern than any other.. my mistakes! I do feel that some of the directions were not clear.Example cut fabric 60" long but never said how wide.Or what direction to have the zipper opening.Also for patterns pieces, this could of been clearer of how many to cut. The video was ok but no talking just music, so it made it hard to follow. The elastic strap holder I felt was to long but I checked and it was cut the length it said in directions. Also I think maybe using something else instead of elastic would look nicer. The side pockets I used mesh and probably could of used elastic around the top that would of held something better in the pocket.(next time) It is nice how you bind it together so no birthing. Overall it does come together nicely.
