To go to sleep, count your blessings and some sheep !

This PDF Crochet Pattern will guide you to crochet a sheep tissue holder as shown in pictures, made using soft acrylic yarn (DK / 8 ply) and crochet hook J (6 mm). The sheep works up quickly by crocheting it with 2 strands of yarn, held together. This will give a nice, thick and soft fabric to cover the package of tissues and for countless hours of cuddling !

Stylecraft Special DK/8 ply was used to create the tissue holder in the pictures. Wool or cotton yarn of the same weight/thickness will be suitable too for this pattern. There will be an opening at the bottom to insert the package of tissues and a button closure. Finished size will be approx. (l x h x w) 7.9” x 7.9” x 5.9” (20 x 20 x 15 cm)

Most parts of this sheep will be worked in continuous rounds. The bottom/flap will be worked in rows.

          Skill Level: Intermediate crochet

          Approx. Gauge: 5 sc = 1.57” (4 cm)

          Materials used:

          • crochet hook size J (6 mm)

          • yarn: mocha, stone (each approx. 65 gram, 209 yds, 190 m), cream (approx. 20 gram, 65 yds, 60 m), dark brown (approx. 12 gram, 38 yds, 35 m)

          • stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins, 2 matching colored buttons diameter approx. 0.7”(1.7 cm), fiberfill stuffing, black and pink yarn/embroidery floss

          • the content of 1 square tissue box (a regular Kleenex box was used for the sheep in pictures, size: 4.33 x 3.94 x 4.72” - 11 x 10 x 12 cm (l x w x h))

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, loop stitch, increasing, decreasing
