I find this design very comfy and yet quite classy. I made the XS size for my teenager daughter and her measurements were right on the pattern's table for the recommended size. I've used cotton lycra 10 oz (approx 200 gms) for my muslin and heavy double brushed poly (300 gms) for the actual pants - both fabrics 4 way 50% stretch. In terms of design, I found the waist band piece too small - 10''x2 for the waist band corresponding to 25 1/2'' the measurement for the waist and 34 1/2'' hips. Unless your fabric has almost 100% stretch, you will probably have a hard time attaching it, and putting the pants on, as 20'' (10''x2) needs to stretch to 34 1/2'' in order to pass the hips (for this reason, I would not rate 5 stars for the pattern) My recommendation would be to double check your fabric stretch and eventually calculate the needed length. In my case, I decided to cut one single band of 25'' and have only one seam at the back. In terms of fit, I found the pattern to be spot on! For my muslin, I forgot to add the seam allowance and yet, the final product fitted very well. I prefer the look of the heavier fabric, and the double brushed poly offers a very nice drape. Regular jersey (240 gms) should be a good weight, but thinner fabrics will probably make the pants look more like pants that you would wear inside the house. In conclusion, I love the look of the pants and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Kommatia!
