Versatile kids raglan shirt size 104-134

Feel like sewing something special for your kids? Here’s a top that’s quick and really snappy: “Bethioua Kids”, a simple raglan shirt for boys and girls. The ingenious cut at the back begs for some creative combinations of colors and fabrics. And by using a striped fabric for the sleeves, you’ll create a particularly striking effect at the back – the perfect “V” where the stripes come together.

The shirt has a loose, gently tailored fit and batwing sleeves. With three different hem variations – rounded, straight, or with a hem band – and a variety of fabric combinations, this top is amazingly versatile. Let those creative juices flow: from absurdly colorful to sporty and casual all the way to toned-down and refined.

This pattern has been professionally graded and rigorously tested by more than 70 sewing hobbyists.

The instructions contain everything you’ll need for this sewing project. Apart from that, I’ll show you exactly how to cut and sew the sleeves out of a striped fabric so that the stripes will match up perfectly.

The pattern contains the individual sizes 104, 110, 116, 122, 128, and 134. To help with selecting the correct size, I’ve included a body measurement chart and an additional chart containing the measurements of the finished shirt. In case your child has just grown a head taller overnight, with the help of illustrated instructions you can quickly make this top longer – just a few easy steps to a custom fit. To give you an idea of how it works: size 134 is meant for a child with a chest measuring 66 cm, a waist size of 60 cm and 72 cm around the hips.

You’ll want to use a substantial jersey material containing some elasthan/ spandex, and for the neckline either jersey or a band or ribbing material with elasthan/ spandex. The fit of this top will of course vary a bit according to the quality and weight of the material you use. The fabric lengths required for the project are based on a fabric width of 150 cm (60″):

Size 104/ 110: 65 cm (.7 yd) Size 116: 70 cm (.8 yd)
Size 122: 75 cm (.8 yd) Size 128/134: 95 cm (1 yd)

The PDF file has a special feature which you’ll see is extremely convenient. Before printing you can choose in which size(s) to print out the pattern. For example, if you know you’ll only need size 116, you can easily hide the other sizes and only the pieces for size 116 will be visible in your printout. In the same way, you can choose to print out several or all of the available sizes. Using the numbered dots, you’ll assemble the indivual sheets to form the whole pattern. Each size has its own distinct color outline and types of dotted lines – to make the cutting and tracing even simpler.

This pattern is a digital product which can be downloaded immediately after receipt of payment. Therefore please note that the standard cancellation policy does not apply to this product.
