The floats become the star, mimicking a woven pattern in this button-up cardigan with stranded diamond motif.
This jacket is worked in separate pieces from the lower edge to the shoulders and sewn together. The fronts are worked in stranded colourwork, with the strands carried across the RS of the work. Fully fashioned shoulder shaping is worked on the back only, so the shoudler seams wrap over the shoulder. The waist is shaped and the jacket has set-in sleeves.
sizeinclusive to a 64.5” / 164 cm finished chest measurement.
Techniques: Increases/decreases, cabled decreases (optional), working simple stranded colourwork from chart, basic set-in sleeve sweater construction, English tailored shoulders, worked flat, bottom up, seamed, picking up stitches, encased front bands, buttonholes and sewing on buttons.
