It has puff sleeves with a very smart turn up which is easy to make, a collar with collar stand all explained in detailed videos and E-book and the essential western style yoke. This project is ideal for you if you want to progress from basic techniques. If you are just starting out I would suggest a few simple dresses, like my pinafore dresses first.
The cuff of the puff sleeve can be finished with piping, lace insert or binding. The devil is in the detail as the methods change with each different finish. That is why there are some additional videos just showing these methods.
As fastening I am using the traditional buttons but you can use snap poppers. To make sure you get that right too there is also a short clip showing how to attach those poppers. They are fab and so colourful and best of all easy to do!
You can also make this blouse as a boys shirt. Just use the additional long sleeve, which I borrowed from the boys shirt. The instructions for that are also on the project page.
The pattern comes in sizes 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 & 6-7. Each pattern comes as individual PDF file making it easier to cut out and reducing paper waste. Just in case you are wondering, you do get all the sizes! The cut is generous, the style is long so that this blouse can grow up with your girl. The size 6-7 will still fit a slender 8 year old!
