Winter Cosy Shawl/Scarf is a super-warm garter stitch shawl or scarf. Perfect for those blustery sea walks when the surf’s up, it can be worn as a scarf or wrap over the top of a Winter coat, or as a cosy shawl on days that aren’t quite so cold. Or why not snuggle up on the settee with it, on a cold winter's day?
The design and stitches are quite simple, which makes this VERY EASY pattern accessible to all levels, - confident beginners and intermediate knitters alike! There are line-by-line instructions, in English with British/US terms. Photos are included for making the tassels. Super-chunky/super-bulky yarn knits up quickly and is so warm. Any super-chunky/super-bulky yarns should work well with this pattern, but please check tension/gauge.
PLEASE NOTE - YOU NEED 4 X 140g OR 3 X 170g BALLS if using Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick.

The Lonely Sea - Heather Corcoran
I have a bag that say ' I knit therefore I am' - sums me up perfectly! I love to knit and love to design! I have knitted for years, and made and sold literally hundreds of owl gloves and fingerless mitts on-line. About 8 years ago, I decided to give designing and writing patterns a go, and I absolutely love it! The whole process is absolutely captivating, and I love to see other knitters' projects made from my patterns. My beautiful cavvy, Honey, is my constant companion, and she sleeps next to me on the settee while I knit. You can also find me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thelonelyseapatterns/
