Knitting Pattern for Fun Goodie Bags for use on Easter egg hunts or for storing special treats.
This pattern includes 6 different Easter Motifs - 2 for each bag and requires Aran/Worsted (10 ply) yarn.
Worked flat on pair 4 mm (U8 - USA6) knitting needles. Gauge isn’t important. I used Stylecraft Special Aran but any Aran/Worsted yarn any colour would be suitable. Great for using up left-over yarn. Bag size approximately 14 cm wide x 15 cm tall (5.5 inches wide x 6 inches tall) excluding strap
The bags are knitting in one piece and then joined at the side. A re-usable gift wrapper made as an Easter Bag and knitted by yourself which will be treasured and reused each year.
Materials – Aran/Worsted Yarn (10 ply)
50 grams of main colour for each bag
Suggested Yarns – Stylecraft Special Aran, Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran
Small amounts of different colours (see photos and charts) for Easter motifs
Knitting Needles – 1 pair 4 mm (U8 - USA6)

I first started to design clothes for my children when they were younger and went on to sell garments through shops and craft fairs. I also taught the use of machine knitting and knitwear design. I later followed a career in IT, but I now have grandchildren and whilst hand knitting for them was inspired to start designing and creating knitting patterns again.
