Knit Courage: The Infamous Churchill Mark IV is now a tea cosy.
Our design takes cues from the iconic Churchill Mark IV Tank. Picture it: rugged, formidable, and ready for action. The caterpillar tracks? Discreetly covered—the mark of a true tea cosy warrior. And that single gun? A symbol of focused strength.
The main body of the tank is the actual tea cosy and the other tank parts are knitted and sewn on. The hull is split in two, so that the tank can straddle the spout and handle openings.
The bogies or wheels that move the tracks along are knitted as bobbles and you knit that panel. There is a help video for the bobbles on Youtube - the link is included in the knitting pattern.
If you're celebrating D-Day, this project awaits. Let’s stitch history together! Dive into history with our latest knitting pattern, the Churchill Mark IV Tank Tea Cosy. Crafted in khaki yarn, this cosy creation pays tribute to the brave souls of Normandy.
The Churchill Mark IV Tank tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Churchill Mark IV Tank tea cosy.

I design and knit unique tea cosies. I really love designing exciting and unusual tea cosies, its great fun and people don’t mind having an over the top tea cosy. Plus they are a great talking point at tea time and make for brilliant knitting projects.
I have quite a following with regular customers who regularly buy my latest designs from my website TeaCosyFolk.co.uk
I have had a couple of patterns printed in the Simply Knitting Magazine, which is very exciting.
