Lemon Meringue Pie Slice Play Food or Pin Cushion Knitting Pattern
This knitted lemon meringue pie slice is a fun, easy knit suitable for beginners. It makes an instantly recognisable addition to any collection of play/display food.
The one size, 4 page pattern has been worked using Sirdar Snuggly and Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake Double Knitting yarn. Other yarn oddments could be used, though the meringue topping would need a yarn with a similar texture to Sirdar Snowflake.
A triangle with a base of approx. 8cm and sides of approx. 11cm, it is an ideal addition to any crafted afternoon tea. A collection of play food makes a great stash buster and whether collected individually or sold collectively at fundraising fairs, slices or a whole pie look as tempting as the real thing...

I wouldn't say I forget everything else when I'm designing... but I do drink a lot of cold coffee! I'm an obsessive knitter who began writing patterns whenever one I bought proved disappointing or when I couldn't find quite what I wanted My patterns are designed to be as easy as possible to make and as straightforward as possible to make up. They're designed to be fun!
