ANTONIUS THE ROMAN SOLDIER DOLL KNITTING PATTERNS
Antonius is a brave Roman soldier, ready for battles and adventure with his sword and shield.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making Antonius, 22 photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 8 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat on straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. For colour-work, you will need to know how to knit stripes (i.e. change colour at the end of a row), and the tunic incorporates Fair-Isle knitting. This pattern uses a three needle join, and instructions with photos are also included in the pattern.
FINISHED SIZE: Antonius is approximately 18.5cm tall.
