These baby ballet shoes are knitted in garter stitch with an i-cord ankle tie. They can be worn with the cord wrapped once and tied in a large bow, or wrapped around the ankle and leg then tied like traditional ballet slippers. The pattern includes two styles: Style A = 3ply yarn and Style B = 4ply yarn.
Pattern sizes: 0 (3-6-9) months.
To fit foot: 7 (8-9-10) cm [2¾ (3¼-3½-4) ins].
Yarn required: Style A - Approx 12 (13-15-16) grams of Patons Big Baby 3ply. Style B - Approx 16 (18-20-22) grams of Patons Big Baby 4ply.
Needles required: Style A - A pair of 3.00mm (UK 11, US 3) knitting needles. 2 double-pointed 3.00mm (UK 11, US 3) knitting needles. Style B - A pair of 3.25mm (UK 10, US 3/4) knitting needles. 2 double-pointed 3.25mm (UK 10, US 3/4) knitting needles. Styles A and B - Wool needle for sewing up.
Tension: Style A - 31 sts and 60 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over garter st, using 3.00mm needles. Style B - 27 sts and 54 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over garter st, using 3.25mm needles.
