You can sew the pants from either one fabric or be even more creative and process two different fabrics or sew them with the fabric diagonal to the grain line. The softer the jersey is, the nicer the pants will fit. Intermediates can use viscose, beginners cotton jersey.
Skill Level: Beginners and up
Recommended fabric: stretch fabrics. Intermediates can use viscose, beginners can use cotton jersey. Use cuff fabric for the leg cuffs and waistband. Intermediates can sew the entire pants from jersey.
VERSION 1 is sewn from two trouser parts. It features an additional centre panel. It looks really pretty when you insert the fabric diagonal to the grain line. Please consider that this version increases the fabric consumption. See striped JELLA version in our pictures.
VERSION 2 is sewn from one trouser part and is cut deeper around the waist. See black JELLA version in our pictures.
